Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell Addresses the NEA-RA

Ed Rendell made up for missing the opening ceremonies.  He addressed the delegation with a very positive education message and welcomed us to the city.

Following his education remarks, he shared about the famous Philadelphia Cheesesteak …. and the mistakes other cities and restaurants make in trying to duplicate the delicacy … the top three biggest mistakes.

1. Use good meat…. you can not use good meat.  You have to use stringy, fatty meat.

2. They use real cheese …. real cheese does not melt properly to get in the nooks and crannies of the bad meet … you must use whiz.

3. Lots of places use things like grilled onions … and they drain off the greas.  Never happens in Philadelphia.
